Autumn Sketches
Great time of year to get out painting. The leaves have started to turn, but not yet too gaudy and overpowering. A bit of rain would be perfect to get the meadows and Fens flooded – but keep quiet I mentioned that. Got out yesterday first thing in the morning and at dusk. Quick sketch in Holywell – looking towards the sun for a change, and in the evening I went to a lonely pond I have found not far from Somersham. Not sure about this first attempt, but I think there will be plenty of scope for more as the setting sun will cast some interesting shadows.
Good job with all those greens! I tend to find them pretty tricky 🙂
Thanks for the kind comments. I cannot resist painting trees so have to practise those greens – composition is always the challenge for me
