Catching Up from the Summer

Not posted for a while  – been painting most days but been “pushing” myself regards both technique and subject matter and not happy to share efforts just yet.  A few more standard offering below.   I like the Earith one but would lie to repeat with less acidic viridian green.

Pleased with the sky on the next one and the main tree  – rest needs a tweak. When I was painting this one the local postman stopped and took a few photos of me with brush in hand.

The last one is literally a 10min sketch of the view on the River Ouse near the Pike and Eel.  I rubbed in the main dark of the trees, added the sky and positioned the boats when I had to make a quick exits to avoid a heard of very inquisitive cows.
