This is a view looking towards Holywell from the south side of the river.  It was threatening rain with the odd bright glow from the low sun.  Pleased with the overall atmosphere but the river needs work to make it sit flat and go back.  I might glaze this the unify all the bright accidental highlights that are rather over done.  It was very quiet for an Easter Sunday and NO midgies, but I must pack the fly spray next time just in case.

With the sketches I made plus this painting I will do a large picture with the dawn breaking through on the right.  It might suit a long double square format so there is less foreground water.
