Plein-air painting on the River Great Ouse
Last weekend the clocks changed to summer time so no excuse for not getting out. The weather was also helpful as it was slightly overcast so I did not have to chase too many shadows, and the sun did not bleach out all the local colours. Over the winter I found a great new location -Berry Fen which is just south of Bluntisham on the River Ouse. See http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3195182 . Let me know what you think of my efforts below. The priming on the boards was a bit on the pink side, so I have toned down the remaining boards and prepared about 20 more in grey, pinks, yellows and blues ready for the next few weeks.

Looks rather hot for a Spring day in East Anglia, but worth another try sometime

I had to walk down the back of the bank to take this and dropped a few feet – that is my excuse

I need to sort the reeds out and cool down the tree to send it back – but I think this has potential

Chain Ferry near Over. Sitting on the boot of my car as I had been standing up all day!
