I have started hanging my paintings for Cambridge Open Studios and pleased with the variety in subject matter than previous years.  Recently been up to Cromer for a days painting, somewhere I would have never considered trying a year or two ago. This contrasted with an afternoon in the middle of Oundle, deep in Northamptonshire. Looking at the paints back home I always want to knock back some of the brighter colours, such as the brick reds in the third painting below

    I enjoy plein aire paingting. To capture the light at that precise momement. Surronded by life and nature always inspires me. You paintings look great.
