Visiting Cambridge Open Studios

It was great to meet so many people at my Cambridge Open Studios event back in July, the first time that I had hired space in the centre of Cambridge. It is always good to hear people’s comments and next year I will include some larger paintings. Being close to lock-down I invested in some card payment technology which was surprisingly trouble free. Following on from Open Studios I sold a painting at the Open Exhibition at the Babylon Gallery in Ely.

Overcote Fen – morning

Although I now paint full time I still struggle to find time to post on a regular basis – there is just so much out there to paint, especially in the Autumn my favorite time of year

Are you the Richard Allen that lived in Rushden and attended Northampton Art School. If so you may remember me as Julia Ford. Do let me know. I still have some of your early work. All the best – J

Hi Julia, I am not the same Richard Allen although I know the one you mean. He is a member of the Northampton Town and Country Art Society if you want to contact him, and also possibly the Kettering and District Art Society. Others have also asked me as I am often in the Rushden/ Kettering area. Thanks for taking the time to look at my website. Richard
